Becoming…

April 29, 2008

Tonight my good friend Matt taught at Saturate. He did a great job and finished our current “deadly viper character assassins” series.

One challenge that Matt laid out there was that, so many young adults are trying to figure out what to do, and not thinking about who we are becoming.

That’s me all the way. So I ask myself, who am I becoming? Who are you becoming?

On a side not, Coldplay released their killer new single today called Violet Hill, great song, and I’ll be listening to it a lot until the album is released.

Words, words, words

Sometimes, this is what I feel like on Tuesday nights at Saturate when I forget the words.

2 more things….

April 16, 2008

Here are two more things that I want to say. These are not about me though.

1) In regards to two posts ago in pedalboards. There is more guitar talk to come, but first! I would encourage all the guitar players out there to read the most recent issue of guitar player magazine. The cover deemed itself “the ultimate guide to pedalboards”. There is some really good stuff in there, I really do hope some people read it.

(sorry the picture is backwards)

2) I really like this song in the video below, check it out. It makes me cry and want to get up and dance at the same time (this is why I want to know how to dance!) Check it out.

This second video is the guy who wrote it and the story behind it.

7 things…

April 16, 2008

So I got tagged like a month ago, and I have a chance to finally blog! So, here are seven things you might not know about me:

1) I’m a giant.. wait scratch that one….

1) I majored in Computer Science for two years in College. I was a computer nerd, and I still am.

2) Speaking of College, I went to school all the way out in Huntington, Indiana (no surprise to those from school who read this) from PA. It was cool, small town, but I met a boat load of awesome people.

3) My wife and I dated for only 4-5 months before we got engaged, then got married 6 months later. We decided we really liked each other, and figured that out pretty fast.

4) I’ve heard a lot of people recently saying to go after your dreams, going after the thing that you could only do with God’s help. Well, I’ve always wanted to write and share music with a band. So, someday I hope I can do that!

5) I wish I could break dance, or just dance really cool. Like the people in “Step Up”, not that I’ve seen that movie or anything.

6) I like taking care of our one little flower at home.

7) I had a pet bird when I was little named Sweetiepie, and it was a male.

That was harder then I thought, and not news to some people. I hope your day is more fulfilled because you now know 7 new things about me.
