There is something inspiring about raw honesty from other humans. And there is something inspiring about a group of people sitting together not acting like they have it together, but enjoying each other’s company and discussing how to keep moving forward.
Inspiration, is like a fresh breeze and a something that fills your lungs to keep going. There are many inspiring things that I learned at the art’s conference last week, but the most refreshing was going downtown to millennial park and just watching some of the kids play in the water. Careless, and loving life.

Well, after we finally got to Chicago on Tuesday night (this was after about a 7ish hour plane trip that should have taken just under two hours….) we settled in. Kinda check out what was around the hotel etc.
The next day is when the conference started and started off well. The first day, yesterday, we heard from the likes of Dewitt Jones (National Geographic Photographer), Nancy Beach, Dan Kimball and a panel of guests which included Efrem Smith, David Loveless, and Brian McLaren just to name a few. They provided some good insight and tension that the church is dealing with in regards to worship gatherings that include multi-generational, multi-cultural, and many other changing aspects about our culture and who we are as a people.
With all that said, I’m entering today with lots on my mind and interested to see how my breakout sessions go today. I’m thinking these will be more practical, but I could be totally wrong. From Chi-Town….
